Faulty van - am I entitled to a refund?

I bought a new Citroen Berlingo in 2012 and within months of ownership it developed oil leaks. It has been reparied on three occasions, but the problem has never been fixed. The dealer has said they cannot guarantee it ever will be repaired to 100% standard.

I've been waiting for the ombudsman's decision for over five months, but nothing is happening so far and I feel I should be compensated with a new van as the one I have is not fit for the purpose. What can I do?

I don't understand how an ombudsman can help you, unless the van is on finance and it's the financial ombudsman. But if you aren;t getting anywhere, sue. You obviously aren't entitled to a new van to replace a van you bought in 2012 unless you pay for the mileage, age and wear and tear on your van. See: www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/consumer-rights/
