What spacious vehicle?

Currently own a zafira which I'm looking to replace, My work is parcel delivery (carry anything from packages to heavy parcels upto 17kg and 1.50cm in length, so need plenty of space but also being economical.

I'm happy with Zafira - lots of space with rear seats down. My question is do I replace with something similar or is there anything else I could consider? I don't want a van.

My present car is petrol/automatic and costs me a fortune in petrol, should I consider diesel? My mileage a day is between 15-20 miles but I can stop/start upto 100 times a day.

Would really appreciate some advice here.

Diesel totally wrong for this kind of driving. Maybe a petrol engined Berlingo Mltispace. But automatic in a van will always hit fuel economy hard.
